We grew up with real estate talk always in the mix. Our dad, Lorin Brown, was the best of REALTORS®. Both of us went into other occupations after college, Amaris worked with high school age kids from Hell's Kitchen living at The Lamb's Theatre in Times Square; Karianne, a political science major, served as campaign manager and when she married Matthew, worked at an advertising firm in St. Louis. Both of us came back to California to work with our dad and it became an incredible family affair!
This was our fourth year to participate. This is before we started our run, so we weren't tired yet...

Remembering the Exceptional Life of Lorin Brown | October 2011
"Our friend Lorin was known for many things throughout his life -- for his kindness, his humor, his steadfast approach for life, for his adoration of family, and for his outlook in the world and his role in it. He was a man of strength of character that, as he so freely demonstrated, was centered on helping to elevate others and create true and meaningful relationships. In celebrating his life, we honor the pivotal role he played in ours..."
The boys had the idea for this year's Christmas card. The theme seemed especially appropriate since 2010 was a dump truck of life-changing decisions and relative upheaval. Looking forward to new construction in 2011 bringing a tower of joy, grateful spirit and without a doubt, continued appreciation of you!

A Nutcracker Christmas |December 2009
We wish you and your family happiness and comfort during this JOY-filled season and the New Year! What's the season without the Nutcracker ballet, the amazing dream and the Land of Sweets with a celebration of dances? In searching for images of nutcrackers, found out they have existed since at least the 15th century.

Ode to Joy, The Lorin Brown Singers | December 2004
So many great things happened in 2004... The year began with Lorin's election as President of the Master's Club and Director on the Sacramento Association of REALTORS®! Our tree theme this time was opera singers with sparkly gold and black highlights and tons of lights. So with singer ornaments and music everywhere, our card theme ended up the same, sharing through song our year... la, la, la... la!
